Abstract:

To provide a laminated birefringent film which is excellent in appearance such as in transparency and can realize excellent optical characteristics, especially excellent transparency and a large phase difference in the thickness direction.

This laminated birefringent film is composed of three layers, namely a transparent high polymer film, a barrier layer formed directly on this transparent film, and a birefringent layer formed on the above barrier layer. For the material of the above birefringent layer, polyamide, polymide etc. can be used. As to the material of the above barrier layer, polyurethane resin, epoxy resin etc. can be used.
