Abstract:
A modular unit (1) consists of a quartz glass discharge vessel (11) and an external bulb (12) and fastens in a lamp base (2), which has an external base part (21) and a cover (22) to seal the chambers of the external base part. A connector socket supplies voltage to a high-pressure gas discharge lamp. An independent claim is also included for a high-pressure gas discharge lamp with a base, a mounting board in the base for electronic components and a connector socket to link a source of voltage to the base.
