PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a language recognition device, method, and program for precisely recognizing a language input through mouth recognition or voice recognition by using environmental information and information unique to a person who has input the language.SOLUTION: A language recognition device receives an input of an image of the lips of or voice information on a person who inputs a language when the person utters the language, analyzes the input image of the lips of or voice information on the person, extracts a plurality of candidates for a character string, acquires information unique to the person, selects a specific character string from the plurality of candidates for a character string on the basis of the acquired information unique to the person, and outputs the selected character string as a language uttered by the person.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
