Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large lump detection device capable of retaining and detecting a large lump as well as being installed even in a cargo handling machine and an existing conveyor facility which have no height or space for installation of a grizzly.SOLUTION: A large lump detection device 28 detects a large lump c contained in a cargo conveyed by a conveyor 8 comprises: a large lump detection screen 32 formed with multiple screen blades 31 installed at intervals in a width direction of the conveyor 8, and the screen blades 31 being arranged at intervals smaller than a diameter of the large lump c to be detected; and a raised portion detecting part 33 for detecting the large lump c by detecting a portion raised by the large lump c retained by the large lump detection screen 32, in the cargo.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
