PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of an electric motor having electric contacts, which is capable of solving a problem that when an electric motor having the electric contacts is continuously operated with a low voltage and a low current, contact resistance of the electric contacts increases causing an unstability of the operation of the electric motor.SOLUTION: The controller is a controller of an electric motor which is driven via a drive signal which is input via a sliding electric contact. The controller includes: superimposed signal generation means that generates a superimposing signal which has a peak voltage higher than that of the drive signal; and control means that generates the drive signal based on a control signal which is input for controlling the drive of the electric motor and superimposes the superimposing signal over the drive signal and outputs the same to the electric motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
