Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system and lens unit in which an exposure change is not unnatural even upon driving a diaphragm.SOLUTION: A lens unit comprises: an imaging lens; a diaphragm; a diaphragm drive mechanism for causing the diaphragm to be opened/closed; a storage unit storing a characteristic of the diaphragm drive mechanism; and a diaphragm drive unit driving the diaphragm drive mechanism. A diaphragm control method of the lens unit includes: reading out the characteristic of the diaphragm drive mechanism on the basis of an aperture value of the diaphragm (S505 and S506); computing a drive velocity of the diaphragm drive mechanism so that an opening/closing operation of the diaphragm makes a velocity of a change in amount of light passing through the diaphragm constant on the basis of the characteristic of the diaphragm drive mechanism (S507); and controlling the diaphragm drive unit on the basis of the computed drive velocity (S508).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
