Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to form a thick superconductive layer by energizing a conductive part of a hollow member and electrodes with electrodeposition liquid including scattered superconductive powders filled for performing electric migration deposition so as to form an electrodeposition layer on the inner surface of the hollow member. CONSTITUTION:A pipe-like hollow member 1 is immersed in an electrodeposition tank 2 where electrodeposition liquid 3 is filled, and electric migration deposition is performed to form an electrodeposition layer 4 on its inner surface and outer surface so as to form a superconductive material 5. By heat processing then, the electrodeposition layer 4 on the surface of the hollow member 1 is sintered, where an oxide superconductive layer 7 is formed, and a pipe-like superconductive material A can be obtained having the oxide conductive layer 7 on the inner surface and the outer surface. By applying migration deposition, a dense and uniformly thick deposition layer can be obtained for the inner surface of a hollow member as well, so a uniform and dense oxide superconductive layer can be formed. by controlling electrodeposition conditions, the deposition layer can be controlled to have a desired thickness. A thick oxide superconductive layer which is suitable for a desired application can thus be obtained easily.
