A light device (10) comprises an illumination source (24) emitting illumination light when supplied with electrical power; a plurality of light emitting diodes (LED's) (20) emitting light when supplied with electrical power; a base (18) supporting the light emitting diodes; circuitry (30) connecting a supply of electrical power to the illumination source and the LED's the circuitry causing the illumination source to emit illuminating light and causing the LED's to emit light of colored or white light.
