Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly select an output signal to be used for calculation.SOLUTION: A flash light emitting device relating to a first invention comprises: a flash device 150; a photometric sensor 107; and a main light emission derivation part 17b. The flash device 150 applies a light flux to an object. The photometric sensor 107 comprises a light receiving area in which a plurality of rows of photoelectric conversion element columns composed of a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements are arrayed, and receives reflected light from the object. On the basis of a first light receiving signal obtained by a first photoelectric conversion element column among the photoelectric conversion element columns when applying a first light flux from a light source, the main light emission derivation part 17b selects a second photoelectric conversion element column in the light receiving area. On the basis of a second light receiving signal obtained by the second photoelectric conversion element column when applying a second light flux from the light source, the main light emission derivation part 17b obtains the amount of a third light flux applied from the light source.
