Abstract:
To provide a light-emitting element capable of improving the contact ratio with an electrode by securing the contact area of a first conductive semiconductor layer.SOLUTION: A light-emitting element may include: a first conductive semiconductor layer; an active layer arranged on one surface of the first conductive semiconductor layer; a second conductive semiconductor layer arranged on the active layer; an insulation coat that surrounds respective outer peripheral surfaces of the first conductive semiconductor layer, the active layer, and the second conductive semiconductor layer; and an electrode layer arranged on the second conductive semiconductor layer. Here, the first conductive semiconductor layer may include a first region where its outer peripheral surface is covered with the insulation coat and a second region not covered with the insulation coat. The perimeter of the outer peripheral surface of the first conductive semiconductor layer in the first region and that in the second region may differ from each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1b
