Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate in which a uniformity in brightness distribution is hardly damaged due to positional displacement of a light source.SOLUTION: A light guide plate 33 is comprised of a light guide plate main body 34 and a light feeding part 35. The light feeding part 35 has the largest maximum thickness than a thickness of the light guide plate main body 34. The light feeding part 35 has the first inclination surface 37b inclined from the first location P1 having the larger thickness than that of the light guide plate main body 34 toward the surface of the light guide plate main body 34. In addition, the light feeding part 35 has a plurality of directional conversion patterns 40a between the second location P2 having a larger thickness than that of the light guide plate main body 34 and the end part of the light guide plate main body 34. The second location P2 is placed near the light guide plate main body 34 rather than the first location P1. Each of the directional conversion patterns 40a extends in parallel in respect to a direction perpendicular to a light incident end surface 38 and its ridgelines are inclined. In addition, the ridgelines of the directional conversion patterns 40a are inclined at an average inclination angle smaller than the maximum inclination angle of the first inclination angle surface 37b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
