Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting appliance for a vehicle which can make even a rear part of a light source in a light emission direction luminescent.SOLUTION: In a lighting appliance 1 for a vehicle in which an LED (light source) 6, and a light guide part 3 which is illuminated by emitting light incident from the LED 6 in a process for guiding the light to a longitudinal direction are accommodated in a lamp chamber 5 which is defined by a housing 2 and an outer lens 4 covering the housing, the LED 6 is oppositely arranged at a first incident face 3a with an end face of the light guide plate 3 in the longitudinal direction as the first incident face 3a, a step-shaped extension part 3B extending substantially in parallel with a main body part 3A in a direction reverse to a light emission direction from the LED 6 is integrally formed at an end part of the main body part 3A of the light guide plate 3 in the longitudinal direction, an internal face of a connecting part 3C for connecting the extension part 3B and the main body part 3A is set as a second incident face 3b which adjoins the first incident face 3a, an external face of the connecting part 3C is set as a reflection face 3c, and light which is made incident into the connecting part 3C of the light guide plate 3 from the second incident face 3b is reflected at the reflection face 3c, and guided to the extension part 3B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
