Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluophor having high florescence intensity as a red color fluophor, a light source capable of providing a luminaire having color rendering property suitable for use indoor or the like and a manufacturing method of the red color fluophor having high fluorescence intensity.SOLUTION: There are provided a fluophor containing a manganese activated germane acid salt represented by the formula (I):AGeO:xMn, where A represents one or more kind selected from a group consisting of Sr, Ba and Ca and 0.0005≤x≤0.030, a light source containing the fluophor and a light emitting element exhibiting light emitting in blue color light range or ultraviolet range and a manufacturing method of fluophor containing the manganese activated germane acid salt including a process of burning a raw material mixture, where the raw material mixture contains MnCO, the burning is conducted under oxidizable gas environment and preferably the burning includes a calcination process conducted at 900°C to 1000°C and a main burning process conducted at 1000°C to 1100°C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
