Abstract:
To provide an illumination device that comprises a substrate cover including fitting opening for fitting pawls of a housing, and can be injection-molded without use of a slide mold.SOLUTION: An illumination device 1 comprises: a substrate cover 10 including a bottom wall 11, and a side wall 12 having fitting openings 13 and continuing to the bottom wall 11; a housing 20 having pawls 22 fitted into the fitting openings 13; a substrate 30 which is fixed interposed between the bottom wall 11 of the substrate cover 10 and the housing 20 with the pawls 22 fitted into the fitting openings 13, and in which a light emitter 32 is implemented on a wiring board 31; and a lens 50 which is mounted on the housing 20 and functions as emission surface. The side wall 12 includes a step part 12d providing a step on a first portion 12c on its tip end 12a side and a second portion 12c on the bottom wall 11 side, and at least some of the fitting openings 13 open on edge 12e of the step part 12d side of the first part 12c and are each configured as a notch for allowing a mold to be drawn out toward the bottom wall 11 side and moreover arranged at positions higher than a side surface of the wiring board 31 on the basis of the bottom wall 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
