Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate combination of error correction processing systems operated in framer LSI and pluggable module, where environmental temperature in a device does not exceed a predetermined temperature.SOLUTION: A line card includes a reception unit, an extraction unit, and an estimation unit. The reception unit receives information about transmission quality of signals transmitted via an extra port. The extraction unit extracts a combination satisfying the transmission quality, out of an error correction processing system type installed in a module connected with the port and an error correction processing system type installed in a framer circuit performing signal processing. The estimation unit estimates such a combination that the module and framer circuit can operate in a range where the temperatures of the module and framer circuit do not exceed a predetermined temperature, when operated in an extracted combination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
