Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium battery protecting system in a low temperature environment, capable of preventing a lithium battery from being completely discharged, even in the case where a low temperature environment in winter continues.SOLUTION: A lithium battery protecting system is a system for controlling the charging and discharging of a lithium battery in a low temperature environment to protect the lithium battery. The system includes: a lithium-based battery module charged via power supplied from the outside thereof, and discharging and outputting the charged power to the outside; an inverter for charging the battery module and performing charging and discharging functions by converting the power of the battery module into alternating current power to output the alternating current power when the battery module is discharged; a BMS for controlling charging and discharging operations of the battery module; and a controller for controlling the charging and discharging operations of the battery module by controlling the operations of the inverter according to a control signal of the BMS.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
