Abstract:
To provide an on-load tap changer, an on-load tap change transformer, and a voltage adjusting apparatus which can protect a switch from an excess voltage or an excess current.SOLUTION: An on-load tap change comprises: an odd-number tap selector (41) and an even-number tap selector (42) for selecting taps of a transform (3) with a tap; an odd-number tap switch (5a) and an even-number tap switch (6a) each having a semiconductor switch and a switch having a mechanical contact connected in parallel; a control unit (40); a self ignition circuit (61b) for carrying out self-ignition of the semiconductor switch (61) included in either of the odd-number tap switch and the even-number tap switch; and a detection unit for detecting an excess voltage or an excess current relating to the semiconductor switches (51, 61). The control unit, if the detection unit detects the excess voltage or the excess current, turns on the semiconductor switches included in both of the odd-number tap switch and the even-number tap switch and then turns on the semiconductor switch (61) to further turn on the switch (62) having the mechanical contact included in either of them later on.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
