Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition excellent in mechanical properties such as breaking strength and breaking elongation, etc., and adhesion properties, and useful for a coating material, a closing material, an adhesive, a sealing material, etc., by uniformly dispersing the fine particles of an acrylic polymer in a specific polymer.
CONSTITUTION: This moisture curing polymer composition comprises uniformly dispersing (B) acrylic polymer particles obtained by the copolymerization of (B1) an acryl-based monomer having one polymerizable unsaturated group and (B2) an acryl-based monomer having two or more (meth)acryloyloxy groups to (A) a polymer having two or more OH, SH or (monosubstituted) amino groups as functional groups capable of reacting with an isocyanate group and introducing two or more hydrolyzable silyl groups through a urethane or urea bonding with the functional groups. This composition is obtained e.g. by copolymerizing the B1 component with the B2 component in the presence of a polymer of the formula [R1 is C2H4, C3H6, etc.; (n) is 2-50], uniformly dispersing the component B, and then reacting the functional groups of the polymer of the formula with an isocyanate alkoxysilane.
