Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress shock in shifting from a lock-up state to a lock-up release state in a device which dispenses with supply of a hydraulic oil in a lock-up state by mechanically connecting a front cover and an output side in the lock-up state.SOLUTION: The device includes a first clutch portion 28, a piston 30, and a dog clutch 32. The first clutch portion 28 keeps a torque transmission state between a front cover 2 and a turbine 4 in shifting between lock-up off and lock-up on, and keeps a torque transmission release state in the lock-up off and the lock-up on. The piston 30 transmits the torque from the first clutch portion 28 to the turbine 4. The dog clutch 32 has a connection member, so that the front cover 2 and the piston 30 are connected by the connection member in the lock-up on, and disconnected in the lock-up off.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
