Abstract:
The locking ring (5) has a polymeric envelope, with an opening in its periphery, installed in a recess (6) of a hub (4) of a vehicle. An incompressible reinforcing component has an assembly of identical components which are connected between themselves to form a reinforcing ring. The reinforcing component is associated with a metallic cord such that the ring is removed from the recess when a tractive effort is exerted on the cord, where the component is installed in the envelope via the opening.
