Abstract:
[PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED] To provide an inexpensive low magnetostrictive body whose magnetostriction has been reduced alone while maintaining its magnetic properties such as loss and saturation magnetization at desired values; and a dust core using the same. [SOLUTION] A low magnetostrictive body and a dust core using the same. The low magnetostrictive body obtained by adding, to a powder composed of a soft magnetic material, an organic compound having an effect of changing a magnetostriction of the soft magnetic material when used in combination with the soft magnetic material; pressing the resulting mixture into a green compact, and then heat treating the green compact in an inert atmosphere, wherein the absolute value of the magnetostriction » O-P (1T/50Hz) is 1.0 × 10 -6 or less.
