Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant excellent in rust prevention without adding rust preventive agent conventionally used and cleanliness and useful for various lubricant and oil materials for automobile or for industry without deteriorating viscosity properties of a lubricant.SOLUTION: There is provided a lubricant composition containing a lubricant base oil and a liquid modified α-olefin (co)polymer, where kinetic viscosity of the lubricant base oil at 100°C of 1 to 10 mm/s, the liquid modified α-olefin (co)polymer is manufactured by graft copolymerization of an unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative component to a liquid α-olefin (co)polymer, the unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative component is at least one kind selected from a group consisting of unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms and acid anhydride, ester, amide and imide thereof and the content of the liquid modified α-olefin (co)polymer is 0.1 to 50 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
