Abstract:
To provide a dicarbonyl compound and its metal complex and a luminescent material and a light-emitting element using the same.
The dicarbonyl compound is represented by general formula (I) [wherein, R1and R2may mutually be each the same or different and denote each a phenylene group represented by general formula (i) (wherein, R4denotes an amino group, an alkoxy group or a phenyl group) or a naphthyl group, an anthryl group, a phenanthryl group, a thienyl group, a furyl group or a pyrrolyl group in which a part of hydrogens may be substituted; and R3denotes a hydrogen or a ≤20C alkyl group]. The metal complex of Ir, Pt or Re uses the dicarbonyl compound as a ligand. An organic electroluminescent element uses the metal complex as the luminescent material.
