PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus that can be used in a stable state from the operation start, and an installation method.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes a selection part and an execution part. The selection part selects a sequence executed in a pre-operation for stabilizing a state of the apparatus from a plurality of sequences based on information on cooling of the apparatus in the installation place.
