Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage which is excellent in the holding performance of balls as the single cage and can be detached/attached easily, in the cage for a thrust bearing which needs periodical assembling and dismantling for cleaning or the like, and a thrust bearing having the cage.SOLUTION: A cage 1 for a thrust bearing which holds a plurality of balls sandwiched between a pair of bearing rings in the thrust bearing is composed of a ring-shaped plate member 2. The ring-shaped plate member 2 has a plurality of ball pockets 3 in a ring peripheral direction, the ball pockets 3 have claw parts 3a or the like which are divided into two pieces or more for detachably holding balls 5, and the claw part 3a or the like is composed of a region which is formed of slits 4 formed at surroundings of opening parts 3d of the ball pockets 3 at least at one face 2a out of an opposing face which opposes a bearing ring at the ring-shaped plate member 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
