Abstract:

To recover manganese oxide from a dry cell by a low-cost method.

The method for recovering manganese oxide from the dry cell includes: a crushing/sieving treatment process of crushing and then sieving the dry cell and obtaining a crushed matter including manganese oxide particles and zinc oxide particles as a sieved matter; a pulverizing treatment process of pulverizing an aggregate of particles including the manganese oxide particles and the zinc oxide particles included in the sieved matter after the crushing/sieving treatment process and separating respective particles; and a magnetic sorting treatment process of separating the particles after the pulverizing treatment process to the manganese oxide particles and the zinc oxide particles by magnetic force in a dry state.
