Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing device for honeycomb structure that can increase manufacture efficiency of a honeycomb structure and prevent a sealing defect and to provide a manufacturing method for honeycomb structure.SOLUTION: A manufacturing device 400a for honeycomb structure includes a sealing device 200a which supplies a sealing material 130 and seals one end face 71a as a part of a through hole 70a of a honeycomb structure 70 having a plurality of through holes 70a formed, and a sealing device 200b which supplies the sealing material 130 and seals the other end face 71b of a through hole 70a not having one end sealed by the sealing device 200a, and the sealing devices 200a, 200b seal through holes 70a in overlapping time zones. Both ends of the through holes 70a of the honeycomb structure 70 are sealed in parallel and the manufacturing efficiency is improved. Differences in received force between both ends of the through holes 70a of the honeycomb structure 70 can be made small and a sealing defect due to deformation etc., of a sealing mask 170 is hardly caused.
