Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce various books while suppressing the enlargement of a device and a load of an operator and to continuously produce books even in the case of an order change.SOLUTION: A printing unit 1 includes: a web type digital printer 12 for printing a main mark 55 to specify a book together with the image of a text in a web; a folding machine 13 for folding and horizontally cutting the web to form a signature; and a printing unit conveyance device 15 for discharging a bundle of signatures formed by stacking signatures. A bookbinding unit 2 includes: a bookbinding conveyance device 20 for receiving the discharged bundle of signatures; a binding machine 22 for combining the rear surfaces of sheet bundles constituting one book to bind them; a main reader 50 for reading a main mark from the bundle of signatures; and a feeder unit 27 for feeding an additional page set by selecting a specific feeder container from the information of the main mark read from a plurality of feeder containers to a bookbinding processing unit such as a gathering machine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
