Abstract:
A tow band production method having: a removal step in which some water included in each tow band among a plurality of types of tow bands is removed by drying the plurality of types of tow bands in a single drying device while causing the tow bands to meander and be conveyed, said plurality of types of tow bands comprising a plurality of filaments impregnated with water that have been crimped; a detection step in which the residual water content in each tow band that has passed through the drying device is detected for each; and an adjustment step in which the meandering oscillation range for each tow band is adjusted on the basis of the detection results from the detection step, such that the residual water content in each tow band that has passed through the drying device reaches a target value.
