Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for paper adding high dry paper durability strength and a manufacturing method of the paper.SOLUTION: There is provided a paper durability agent for paper containing a crosslinking agent containing (a) (meth)acrylamide, (b) a monomer having a keto group and (c) an anionic monomer as essential components and capable of reacting with (d) (meth)acrylamide-based polymer and (e) the monomer having the keto group. Preferably the content of a skeleton derived from the (b) monomer having the keto group contained in the (d) (meth)acrylamide-based polymer is 1 to 30 mol%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
