Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process of manufacture of a bearing ring in which an increasing in surface roughness in respect to a steel material is restricted.SOLUTION: This invention comprises a step for preparing a processing part for getting a steel material and a bearing ring from the steel material (S0); a step for mounting the steel material at the processing part (S2); steps for punching out a part of the steel material to a ring-shape after heating the steel material at the processing part to a temperature more than transformation point Aand after this processing, the ring-like steel material is hardened at the processing part to attain the bearing ring (S3 to S13). At the step for getting the bearing ring, both heating and punching are carried out under a state in which oxidization of the steel material is restricted and a state in which a tension force is added between a first portion and a second portion of the steel material spaced apart while holding the processing part in at least one direction along a major plane of the steel material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
