Rotary forging for forming a hub-side face spline is started in a state in which a caulking section (18) is made to come in contact with a flat surface section (30) that is an inner end surface of an inner ring in an axial direction and a chamfer (31). In addition, a contact portion (P) between an inner end surface of the caulking section (18) in the axial direction and a processing surface (35) of a roll (32) at the beginning of the rotary forging overlaps a contact portion between the caulking section (18) and the flat surface section (30) and the chamfer (31) of the inner ring (9) in the axial direction.
