Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing biomass nanofibers and a method for producing a polymeric resin composite using the biomass nanofibers.SOLUTION: The method for producing biomass nanofibers comprises steps of: obtaining biomass fibers by heat-treating 1 or 2 or more biomass resources selected from bamboo, Erianthus ravennae, Elaeis guineensis, and barley straw with superheated steam; and obtaining biomass nanofibers by mixing an aqueous polyvinyl alcohol solution, maleic anhydride-modified polypropylene, or low molecular weight polycaprolactone into the biomass fibers and extruding the mixture while kneading using a multiaxial extruder. By mixing a polymeric resin into the biomass fibers and extrusion molding the mixture by a multiaxial extruder, there is obtained a biomass nanofiber-polymeric resin composite.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
