PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for achieving better catalyst reaction.SOLUTION: A method in some embodiment of the present invention for producing a catalyst carrier comprises: a step of impregnating, with α-alumina, an aqueous solution containing a water soluble salt of lanthanum, water soluble salt of strontium, and water soluble salt of aluminum, thereby forming an impregnated body; and a step of burning the impregnated body at 800-1,300°C to form a perovskite-type oxide supported by α-alumina.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
