Abstract:
To provide a heat storage material having high hydration volume, less liable to deliquesce, and capable of effectively using hydration volume thereof, a manufacturing method of the heat storage material, and a chemical heat pump and a heat storage method using the heat storage material.SOLUTION: The heat storage material is composite metal halide having a monovalent metal, a bivalent metal and halogen. The method for manufacturing the heat storage material includes preparing a mixture by mixing monovalent metal halide, and bivalent metal halide hydrate, and generating the composite metal halide by heat treating the mixture. The chemical heat pump has a water storage part 10 for storing water as an actuation medium, a heat storage material holding part 20 for holding the heat storage material, and a steam flow path 30 for distributing steam between the water storage part and the heat storage material holding part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
