Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a crank shaft capable of carrying out high-frequency quenching on a crank journal portion, a clamp pin portion and a fillet portion by a simple method without degrading processability.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a crank shaft includes a process for carrying out a prescribed roll processing to fillet portions 7, 9 at axial ends of crank journal portions 3a-3e and axial ends of clamp pin portions 5a-5d, and a process for carrying out high-frequency quenching to sliding faces 4 of the crank journal portions 3a-3e and sliding faces 6 of the clamp pin portions 5a-5d with the fillet portions 7, 9 of axial ends after the roll processing. Thus the high-frequency quenching of the crank shaft 1 can be carried out by a simple method of carrying out high-frequency quenching to the sliding faces 4 of the crank journal portions 3a-3e and the sliding faces 6 of the clamp pin portions 5a-5d with the fillet potions 7, 9 after the roll processing onto the fillet portions 7, 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
