Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing deionized water which suppresses occurrence of slime due to proliferation of microorganisms in a concentration chamber of a deionized water production apparatus based on electrodialysis.SOLUTION: In a deionized water production apparatus, an ion exchanger is housed in a deionization chamber of an electrodialyzer 4 in which cation-exchange membranes and anion exchange membranes are arranged alternatively between a cathode and an anode. As the cation exchange membrane, there is used a cation exchange membrane which contains a polyvinyl alcohol-based block copolymer which including anionic polymer segments having anionic groups and vinyl alcohol polymer segments and having a crosslinked structure and has a micro phase separation structure with a domain size (X) of 0 nm
