Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a terminal having electric wire, whereby the terminal can be crimped to a joined core wire while the joined state of the core wire in which a plurality of conductor core wires are joined to one another is maintained as much as possible.SOLUTION: A terminal (31) has: a base bottom part (42) on which a bundle (13) of core wires is placed; and a pair of crimped strips (43) extended from the base bottom part (42). A terminal crimping machine (51) has: an anvil (52) with a support face (53) supporting the base bottom part (42); and a crimper (55) having two arch grooves (57), each of which faces the anvil (52) and has an arcuate face. In the joined core wire (13A) before crimping, the width (X) of a cross-section orthogonal to an axial line is equal to or smaller than a value obtained by subtracting the double of the thickness (T) of the terminal (31) from the width (W) of each arch groove (57), and the height (Y) of a cross-section is equal to or larger than a value obtained by subtracting the double of the thickness (T) of the terminal (31) from the maximum distance (H) between a support face (53) and each arch groove (57) at the time of the completion of crimping.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
