Abstract:
To provide an industrial production method of a hydrocarbon oxycarbonyl oxyalkanoic ester compound, easily yielding the target compound, i.e. the hydrocarbon oxycarbonyl oxyalkanoic ester compound of formula (III), in a high yield.
The hydrocarbon oxycarbonyl oxyalkanoic ester compound can be produced in an extremely high yield by reacting a carbonate compound with a cyclic ester in the presence of at least one solid catalyst chosen from an alkali metal carbonate, an alkaline earth metal carbonate, an alkaline earth metal hydroxide, an alkaline earth metal oxide, an ion-exchange resin and a clay mineral.
