Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing hydrogen by reforming hydrocarbon that suppresses catalyst degradation due to sulfur poisoning when converting a sulfur compound-containing hydrocarbon into a fuel such as hydrogen, carbon monoxide and the like using a catalyst composed mainly of nickel, magnesium and alumina.SOLUTION: The method for producing hydrogen by reforming hydrocarbon includes a step of reforming hydrocarbon in which a raw material gas containing a sulfur compound and hydrocarbon is reformed using a steam reforming catalyst to produce a reformed gas including hydrogen and carbon monoxide from hydrocarbon. In the method, a part of the reformed gas including hydrogen produced in the step of reforming hydrocarbon is returned to the raw material gas in the step of reforming hydrocarbon.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
