Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably manufacturing an absorber having a plurality of parts different in basis weight of fiber material while preventing any inconvenience caused when an amount of material sheet to be supplied to a defibrating machine is changed.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing an absorber according to the present invention, fiber materials 31 obtained by defibrating a material sheet in a defibrating machine is supplied by an airstream to a rotational drum 2 having an outer peripheral surface on which collection recesses are formed. The fiber materials 31 are sucked and deposited in the collection recesses 22 to be shaped in a predefined shape and the deposited material is then released from the collection recesses 22 to obtain an absorber 3. Also, the present invention includes: a first step for feeding a material sheet 31A drawn out from a raw fabric roll 31R at a constant speed to downstream side by a first feeding device 6B; and a second step for supplying the material sheet 31A fed to the downstream side to a defibrating machine 51 while periodically changing a supplying speed by a second feeding device 6C. As the deposited material, a fiber deposited body is obtained having a portion of relatively-large basis weight and a portion of relatively-small basis weight of the fiber material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
