Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, capable of suppressing the swelling of batteries during initial charge of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte in which a carboxylic acid anhydride having a sulfur-containing cyclic structure is added is used. The carboxylic acid anhydride is preferably a carboxylic acid anhydride having a cyclic structure containing sulfur and an unsaturated bond, and further, preferably a cyclic carboxylic acid anhydride having a five-membered or six-membered ring structure containing sulfur and an unsaturated bond. Specifically, the carboxylic acid anhydride is a 5,6-dihydro-1,4-dithiin-2,3-dicarboxylic acid anhydride, a 3,4-thiophene dicarboxylic acid anhydride, or a 2,3-thiophene dicarboxylic acid anhydride.SELECTED DRAWING: None
