Abstract:
Provided are a photoelectric conversion element, a dye-sensitized solar cell, a dye solution, and a method for manufacturing the dye-sensitized solar cell. The photoelectric conversion element has a conductive support body, a photosensitive layer containing an electrolyte, a charge transfer layer containing an electrolyte, and a counter electrode, wherein the photosensitive layer has fine semiconductor particles on which a metal-complex dye is supported. The metal-complex dye is represented by the following formula (I): M(LD)(LA)(Z)·(CI) … formula (I) In the formula (I), M represents a metal ion, LD represents a bidentate ligand represented by formula (DL-1), LA represents a specific terpyridyl-based tridentate ligand, Z represents a monodentate ligand, and CI represents a counter ion necessary for neutralizing charge.
