Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling particle sizes of a platinum powder.SOLUTION: A production method of a platinum powder is based on mixing an organic solvent containing platinum with a hydrazine aqueous solution added with an alkali and reducing platinum while transferring platinum to the water phase, and an alkali is selected so that the base dissociation constant of the alkali when added to the hydrazine aqueous solution allows production of a platinum powder of a target particle size under the conditions of a specified liquid temperature in reduction and a specified product of the platinum concentration in the organic solvent by the oil phase/water phase volume ratio (O/A ratio).
