Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrier material which is a composite material that uses a polyhydroxyurethane resin having an excellent gas barrier property, mechanical strength, and transparency and decreased environmental load, especially that can realize a higher barrier property than when the hydroxyurethane resin is used alone.SOLUTION: Provided is a polyhydroxyurethane resin-silica hybrid composition comprising: a polyhydroxyurethane resin obtained by subjecting a compound having at least one five-membered cyclic carbonate group and a compound having at least one amino group to polyaddition reaction; and an alkoxysilane compound having at least one silanol group and/or a partial hydrolysis-condensation product of the same. Also provided is a method for producing a polyhydroxyurethane resin-silica hybrid solution.
