Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for producing a polycarbonate polyol polyacrylate compound without requiring a distillation operation of by-product alcohol.SOLUTION: Vinyl alcohol, which is produced as a by-product in the reaction of a polycarbonate polyol and a vinyl acrylate compound in the presence of a catalyst having transesterification capabilities, is isomerized at once into a keto-carbonyl compound, whereby an alcohol is removed from the reaction system and by-products are suppressed to attain a high rate of conversion to acrylates.
