Abstract:
Provided are a product member having excellent wear resistance, bending fatigue strength, and machinability, whereby wear of a cutting tool during a manufacturing process can be suppressed, and a method for manufacturing the same. The present invention includes: a step for subjecting a rough member to induction hardening and annealing, and obtaining a hardened material, in which the frequency during high-frequency heating is set to 10 kHz to 300 kHz, the heating time during high-frequency heating is set to 1 second to 60 seconds, the annealing temperature is set to 160°C to 200°C, and the annealing time is set to 60 minutes to 180 minutes; and a step for subjecting the hardened material to cutting, and obtaining a product member, in which the rake angle of a cutting tool is set to more than -30° to -5° or less, a nose radius of the tool is set to 0.4 mm to 1.2 mm, a feed rate is set to more than 0.1 mm/rev to 0.4 mm/rev, the cutting speed is set to 50 m/minute to 150 m/minute, and the cut depth is set to 0.05 mm to 0.2 mm.
