Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which allows for simplification of the manufacturing process.SOLUTION: A secondary battery includes an electrode assembly including first and second electrodes, a housing having one open side and housing the electrode assembly, a cap assembly including a cap plate for sealing the open part of the housing, an insulation case formed integrally with the cap assembly and provided between the cap plate and electrode assembly, a first collector member interposed between the cap assembly and insulation case and coupled electrically with the first electrode, a second collector member interposed between the cap assembly and insulation case and coupled electrically with the second electrode, and a through hole formed in the side face of the insulation case.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
