Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary tool capable of forming a long hole or the like in a workpiece and efficiently processing a workpiece by a single rotary tool, and easily manufactured.SOLUTION: A rotary tool 10 rotates around a rotational axis R to process a workpiece. The rotary tool 10 has its tip angle set to 105° to 135°. The rotary tool 10 has four helical grooves 22 on its side face, and a cutting edge 26 is formed in one edge of each of the four side parts 24 held among the four helical grooves 22. In the cutting edges 26 formed in the four side parts 24, thinnings 32 are continuously formed on the tip sides of every other cutting edges 26, and chip discharge parts 34 are continuously formed on the tip sides of the remaining cutting edges 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
