Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell in which photoelectric conversion efficiency is enhanced by reducing the contact resistance, and to provide a method of manufacturing a solar cell in which the masking process is reduced.SOLUTION: In a solar cell having, on the first principal surface of a first conductivity type semiconductor substrate, a first conductivity type layer of the same conductivity type as the first conductivity type and a second conductivity type layer of the conductivity type opposite from the first conductivity type, irregularities are provided on the surface of the first conductivity type layer and the second principal surface of the semiconductor substrate.
